I am old school and learned, though many broken pieces, to provide the correct TM for different situations. I had all the TM removed from my truck. It makes a huge difference in power availability.

I would imagine that deleting all torque management would hurt performance for two reasons: there would be more tire spin-out after a shift (very dangerous too). and the car would be harder to launch without excessive tire spin-out. i guess you could relearn how to launch the car, but it will never be as easy.
